APRIL WRAPUP AND MAY GOALS

This month, I finished one book, and it was not any of the original books that I intended to finish this month. Searching for Sappho was a good book though, and I do recommend it.
I'm (hopefully) also on track to finish The Great Gatsby by tomorrow, though (or at least by Monday), so I'm going to count it as one of my April reads. I like the book so far, and it's easy to get into when I get the chance to get into it. Hopefully I'll get my video up for that soon as well. As far as Wuthering Heights goes, I didn't touch it this month. I would probably be happy if I didn't touch it ever again, but I'll probably pick it up later in the year to finally finish it.
I also started The Night Circus this month, but didn't finish it. I've enjoyed what I've read so far, though, so I'm going to carry it over for next month. It's been my bedside book for a few nights now.
The only book I didn't touch at all this month is Liberty's Exiles. I did read Searching for Sappho, so I'm going to count that as my nonfiction read for April.
For next month's reading goals, I plan on a few things - hopefully I finish all three books this time! For the next book in the 46 Challenge, I'm going to read The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler. This is apparently a mystery novel, which Chandler published in 1939. Apparently, there's a whole series that Chandler created around the main character, Philip Marlowe, which hopefully means this is a really good book if it justifies a whole series. According to the back, the book deals with extortion, porn, kidnapping, seduction, and murder. I can't wait.
Also for next month, I plan on reading Liberty's Exiles, for real this time. I hope to finish it by the end of the month, but we'll see. If I only get partway through, I'll be fine with my progress, because the topic sounds cool.
Finally, as mentioned, I'll try to finish reading The Night Circus. From what I've read so far, this is a really fun book. I've enjoyed what I've read so far, because it involves a lot of things I like in fiction (namely, magic and characters I don't want to punch in the face.)
That's it for now! I might also start doing quarterly goals instead of monthly goals - it seems like a more feasible thing for my life right now.  What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
